About the festival

Brasswood
Soundtracks 2026
The Nature of Cinematic Music
Brasswood Soundtracks is a film music festival with a distinctive, author-driven format that allows film scores to resonate in their full concert scale within the unique setting of the Forest Opera in Sopot.
The event is entirely dedicated to music that builds tension, guides emotions and tells stories even without the presence of an image.
The programme is created through a carefully curated line-up of Polish and international artists for whom film music is a primary artistic language.
The most important compositions of recent years are presented live in a refined stage setting, where light and space are designed to serve the dramaturgy of sound.

The history
of the festival
Brasswood Festival was born out of the need
for a different, more mindful way of listening.
Since its first editions, the festival has evolved as a space for artists who treat sound as storytelling and the concert as a full-scale artistic experience.
During the 2025 edition, the Brasswood stage hosted world-class artists presenting their repertoires in unique festival interpretations.
The audience could hear, among others, Morcheeba, Dub FX, Jazzanova (live) and Carpetman – artists who redefined their sound in dialogue with the space and atmosphere of the event.

The initiator
of the festival
Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski
Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski is the initiator and artistic curator of Brasswood Soundtracks – the creator who gave the festival its new, fully cinematic identity.
Following the international success of the score for The Peasants, recognized by Variety as one of the world’s 15 best film soundtracks with Oscar potential, L.U.C. began an intensive collaboration with film music composers and producers around the world.
These experiences became the impulse to transform the intimate Brasswood event into an international festival of film soundtracks. L.U.C. builds the programme around authentic performances, collaboration with film creators, and the highest artistic standards.
Brasswood is my response to the pace of the modern world, sensory overload, and the never-ending rush. I wanted to create a space where music allows you to pause, take a deep breath, and celebrate sound in its purest form.
